Art is a connection. Art is a feeling. Art is personal.
Andre’s work is currently attempting to do all three. The
connection with his viewer’s through his Art will be made in works which
will involve the Artist’s feelings and personal life experiences.
Images and texts will be drawn from his everyday life and daily
surroundings.
Andre’s work is calm, safe, intelligent and always honest. The main
focus is photography and images found, discovered and stumbled upon.
His current work is a chain of moments, series of experiments and
researches into what the Artist considers to be his past, present and
existence. The work has to be complete and have quality in its quantity.
The Artist’s process to completion of a piece comes from impulses
and subjects that always vary. A complexity in ideas and passing of time
take him into a path of creation that in the end is strong and solid.
The continuous developments of concepts allow the Artist to live and
relive his work, constantly feeding the fire through varied and diverse
inspiration.
There is distinction of sincerity in his art and his works attempt
to always be subtle but blunt. The media used always has a mixture of
dark and bright, warm and cool, yet staying clear of the obvious.
Metaphors are implemented and the names are the closing arguments.
The way Andre has chosen to take time and be consumed by time,
allows the Artist to deeply connect with his Art allowing more intimacy
and forgiveness. Andre’s work moves with time. His Art moves with life.
The Artist’s Artwork is his life.
